Fresh-Lock, part of Presto Products Company, has introduced two new slider systems for flexible packaging applications.

The Ergo Ultra slider features a contoured polyethylene design intended to improve accessibility for consumers. It is made with recyclable materials, supporting mono-material pouch solutions, and is recognised as a pouch component for the How2Recycle Store Drop-Off program.

The reduced-scale format uses less material, providing a low-profile option with sustainability benefits.

The Child-Guard Edge slider brings child-resistant functionality to small-format pouches, which until now had been limited to larger packs due to slider size and opening width. The reduced-scale design allows brands to create a broader range of child-resistant pouches, while maintaining reclosability and convenience.

Todd Meussling, director of business development and sustainability at Fresh-Lock, said: “Ergo Ultra enhances accessibility for everyday consumers with sustainability benefits, and Child-Guard Edge enables small-format, child-resistant pouches - unlocking new opportunities for brands to leverage the advantages of flexible packaging.”

According to the company, the new designs reflect its focus on expanding sustainable closure solutions for the flexible packaging industry.

The company’s product portfolio includes the Fresh-Lock 8000 Series, a range of sustainable press-to-close zippers, and slider systems.
