A new generation of Cheerpack spouted pouch filling lines is on the market here in Australia, ready to bring new capabilities to Australian and New Zealand brands.

Metalprint Australia and Gualapack are now offering three new lines that extend the capability of the Cheerpack spouted pouch. For brands and manufacturers where throughput and line efficiency are paramount, the new CHP-8H filling line offers a huge 250-pieces-a-minute output without sacrificing any of the benefits of premade pouches. All this comes with a compact footprint and less than one operator.

“The ability for rapid format and size changes keeps operational efficiency high every shift while still giving marketing and sales the flexibility to compete in today’s challenging FMCG environment,” says Bernard Waterson, MD of Metalprint. “The line can even accommodate up to four flavours simultaneously, making multipacks an easy option.”

Specific configurations for dairy lines, as well as hot fill or multiuse operations, are available.

The CHP-2H pouch filler is the leading premade pouch filler model in the world, according to Metalprint, offering a reliable output of 5000 pieces an hour, in a cost effective, compact footprint.

This capability has now been extended to include large corner spouted pouches in addition to centre-spouted pouches. Using a Cheerpack filler over conventional corner spouted machine increases throughput and reduces the amount of plastic required.

“A key facet of the success of Cheerpack spouted pouches has been the convenience that consumers found for consuming dairy, snack, and baby foods,” Waterson says.

By making corner spouted Cheerpacks more accessible, the solution becomes even more useful in applications such as cooking sauces, ketchups, food and salad oils, multi portion dairy, and custards – any application where the consumer needs to dose and pour, rather than consume. Non-food applications also abound.

This equipment is readily able to switch between smaller and larger spouts, further cementing its fit-for-purpose status for culinary sauces and multi-serves or custards, sour creams, and similar products.

Metalprint’s CHP UC Log 3 Filler was designed to satisfy the needs of high-care dairy operators and others who require extended shelf life without thermal processes.

Maintaining production flexibility with rapid changeover between sizes, formats and pouch shapes, while adding key elements from the company’s aseptic technologies, delivers the best of both worlds for brands who are seeking to extend the hygiene and shelf life of their products.

“Using premade pouches in ESL formats eliminates the complexity associated with other ESL approaches and delivers consistent performance day in and day out,” Waterson says.

Metalprint says the CHP UC Log 3 solution has been commercially endorsed by some of the world’s most demanding dairy facilities and comes in an easily implemented format suitable for metro or remote installations.

A comprehensive suite of packaging, equipment, end-of-line solutions, and ongoing support for both equipment and packaging, is available from Metalprint Australia.
