By redefining line connectivity and offering end-to-end solutions, Foodmach has become one of Australia’s biggest and most successful packaging integrators, and this month, it celebrates 50 years of trading.

Foodmach began trading in Melbourne in 1972 in response to the monopoly of imported packaging equipment. 

Since its early forays into palletising, de-palletising and conveying systems for the FMCG industry, the company has grown exponentially in size and turnover, generating awards and accolades along the way.

Now, with a national footprint, it has been at the forefront of Industry 4.0 connectivity in Australia – line integration and control systems being strengths within the business. 

High profile Industry 4.0 projects, such as Dulux’s $165 million smart factory at Merrifield in Melbourne, held up as one of the world’s most advanced industrial batch plants, have been followed by four personal care lines at BWX, and its most complex filling line to date for Pernod Ricard wines.

And Foodmach knows that not everyone can afford a greenfield factory, so its controls team specialises in breaking open legacy control systems on older machines for machine interfacing and data extractions.

Foodmach’s Line MES enables integration on OEM equipment with an existing line and provides next-level line control. It is the centrepiece of Foodmach’s other latest gamechanger, Line as a Machine (LaaM), where Foodmach delivers turnkey packaging lines as a single, Industry 4.0-enabled engine.

The New South Wales government has awarded $1.1 million to All G through the latest round of its Biosciences Fund, and announced a new $20 million funding program to support companies developing high-tech innovations in New South Wales.

The company has just launched a capital raise through Birchal to continue its impressive growth journey, hoping to expand its national presence and make its way into bars throughout the US and UK.
