AUSPACK 2022 will showcase the expertise of some of Australia’s top OEMs, giving attendees a chance to connect with leading local equipment and machinery manufacturers, all of whom are making innovative strides in the field of packaging and processing.

The globally recognised, long-running biennial event, held on 17-20 May at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, will be the perfect place for interested people across the packaging and processing sectors to find solutions from these OEMs and make meaningful connections.

Those in FMCG manufacturing wanting to take control of their packaging line might want to check out stand E150 and have a chat with the team at Foodmach, suppliers of integrated equipment for genuine Industry 4.0 connectivity.

From depalletising, conveying, filling, inspection, labelling, case packing, traceability, palletising, stretch wrapping, robotics and AGVs, through to software, electrical and programming, Foodmach has the solutions for your end-of-line technology needs, all in the one place.

A new concept from Foodmach that will be demonstrated at AUSPACK is called Line as a Machine (LaaM), in which Industry 4.0 packaging lines are treated as a single production cell with complete interoperability: a production line that operates as a single machine.

“Vehicles are a collection of parts from many OEMs brought together and sold as a single machine with one point of responsibility for delivery, performance and service,” explained Earle Roberts, CEO of Foodmach.

“Why not treat the FMCG production line in the same way? The customer and their operators can enjoy ‘driving’ a fast production line with a dashboard full of controls, accurate and seamless information, and very high reliability, only having to deal with a single supplier for ongoing service and support.

“We, as the line integrator, take complete responsibility for the delivery and continuing function of a fully optimised line.”

On stand D172, Andrew Donald Design Engineering (ADDE) will engage with visitors around the custom automation solutions the company is capable of designing and building, with its team of engineers working with customers from concepts and ideas through to a finished and operating solution.

ADDE has extensive experience developing turnkey automation and robotics solutions for the Australian industry, with customers in a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and general manufacturing.

The company recently announced its partnership with OTTO Motors to bring the OTTO range of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) to the Australian market for material handling inside manufacturing facilities and warehouses.

At AUSPACK, ADDE will guide visitors through how to select the right combination of technology, from pneumatics to high-speed servos and robotics, control & vision systems, conveyors and vehicles all integrated as a single automation solution.

For end of line packaging, Fibre King (stand A140) specialises in designing, building, installing and maintaining machinery within the food, beverage, meat, dairy, FMCG, personal care, pharmaceutical and fresh produce industries across Australia, New Zealand, Asia, US, Canada, Middle East and Europe. A recent installation in Australia was an end of line packaging solution for Nestle's Nescafe coffee pouches.

With over 90 years of engineering experience, Fibre King prides itself on delivering the "international standard" in packaging machinery globally and is a leading packaging equipment supplier in Australia.

Its range includes case packers, palletisers, de-palletisers, case and tray handling equipment, robotic integration and conveying systems.

Australian and global OEM, Heat and Control (stand D150) is a long-standing AUSPACK exhibitor and a formidable player in the processing and packaging machinery market. For over 70 years Heat and Control has specialised in equipment solutions with a focus on yield, efficiency and safety for the food processing and packaging industries. A recent launch is its Oxipack leak detection solution for the pet food industry.

The company offers complete processing, inspection and packaging lines that feature integration from start to finish, which Heat and Control says ensures full line efficiency and performance.

The exhibitors mentioned above are just some examples of Australian OEMs servicing the FMCG sector, there will be others at AUSPACK too, such as HMPS (stand G140), Australis Engineering (C130), and Inox (stand E055), to mention a few.

Tickets to the exhibition are free and are now available on the AUSPACK website, and entry to the Solutions Theatre is also free via the registration pass.
