In the illustration, Tasmania's Cradle Mountain appears beneath a southern celestial sky, with peonies, chrysanthemums and peach blossoms symbolising prosperity and renewal. Waves of water and fire subtly form the shape of the Fire Horse, representing courage, integrity, diligence and power.

Yee said, “With the 2026 Year of the Horse design, I wanted to highlight the importance of natural elements, water and land, shared in the mythos of both Asian and Australian cultures. From drawn sketches to digital applications, I visualised elements of fire, wood and water, all of which are part of the distilling process. The night sky illustration showcases the majesty of Cradle Mountain and abstract paths of journey, connection and travel that matter most at this special time of year.”

Chris Yee specialises in storytelling through traditional pen-and-paper techniques and is known for creating narratives that blend reality and fiction, drawing on influences from Comis, wrestling, k-pop, punk and 2000s rap.

Chris Thomson, master distiller at Lark Distillery, said, “This release is about more than flavour, it’s about the feeling of coming together. The whisky celebrates that moment in the glass, while the artwork reflects the journey home and sharing those moments during the festive season.”

The whisky can be served neat, over ice, or in Lunar New Year cocktails such as the Sencha Blossom Old Fashioned, made with sencha tea syrup and orange zest, or the Toasted Fortune Highball, featuring toasted sesame cordial and soda, garnished with golden sesame seeds.
