Amcor will present its latest beauty, health and wellness packaging at Cosmoprof in Bologna, Italy, from 26 to 28 March.

The company will display both rigid and flexible formats, including bottles, jars, dispensers, closures, flexible packs and stand-up pouches. Several packs are designed for recyclability, refillable or reusable formats, or incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, including material produced with Amcor’s CleanStream recycling technology, subject to material availability and local regulations.

“Cosmoprof provides a global focus for the entire beauty industry, so it is the ideal forum where we can show the extent of our product portfolio while also learning from discussions with beauty brands about their packaging requirements,” said Lara Alemany, product line director, Amcor Global Rigid Packaging Solutions. “We are especially delighted to be showcasing a number of new products planned for introduction at this year’s show.”

New dispensers include the Magic One airless dispenser, an all-plastic unit designed to be recyclable where appropriate systems exist. Its engine concept allows specification in different outputs and bespoke designs. The Magic SL 4You dispenser can be supplied in various sizes and offers ergonomic features with colour matching for branding. The Grace head actuator is designed to complement the all-plastic Wave 2cc pump, offering controlled product dispensing.

Recently launched items from Amcor’s bottle, jar and applicator ranges include the Mocha bottle, the Shadow roll-on and the 15 ml, 20 ml and 25 ml packs in the Exclusive Stick and Refill range, which are refillable.

Caps and closures on display include the pre-compression Booster-S trigger spray, a non-drip trigger engineered for controlled performance and consistent spray from both its spray and foamer nozzles.

From the flexibles portfolio, Amcor will present a recycle-ready wet wipe pack made from AmPrima mono-polyethylene (PE) flow wrap with a PE-based semi-rigid label. Stand-up pouches, sachets and stick packs will also be on show, offering features such as easy opening, easy-pour spouts, custom shapes and print options. AmPrima stand-up pouches can be recycle-ready, include a proportion of PCR material, and support reuse of rigid bottles and containers as refill pouches.

Two of Australia’s peak business bodies have welcomed the federal government’s response to its Strategic Examination of Research and Development (SERD), but the Australian Industry Group (AiGroup) has raised sharp objections to a proposal it says will actively reduce the business R&D investment the report itself identifies as critically low.

A sweeping government review of Australia’s research and development system has recommended significant changes to tax incentives, manufacturing support and R&D funding to reshape how companies invest in innovation.
