Currie Group is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Field Service Engineer to join its growing Labels & Packaging Service Team in Sydney. Candidates would ideally have experience repairing printing equipment.  Experience working with label and packaging web press equipment is a bonus.

 Key Responsibilities:

  •  Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to identify and solve problems.
  • Understand and interpret electrical schematics and other technical drawings.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment, including identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Develop a basic understanding of IO modules and PLCs to aid in troubleshooting.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Participate in training sessions and mentorship opportunities to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Be open to travel, including on-site work at remote customer locations.


Skills / Qualifications:

  • Relevant Electrical / Mechanical qualifications; degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical/electronic equipment.
  • Familiarity with IO modules and PLCs preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior engineers.
  • Valid driver's licence and ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed.
