Coopers Brewery is releasing its iconic Dark Ale in a can, supplied by Orora Group, in response to calls from beer lovers across the country.

Until now, Coopers Dark Ale has only been sold in bottles and kegs, but from May, Coopers Dark Ale will also be available nationwide in a new striking brown 375ml can for a limited time.

It is the last remaining beer within the permanent portfolio of Australia’s largest independent family-owned brewery to be packaged in a can format.

“More and more fans have been asking for Dark Ale in a can to the point that it’s been our most requested new product development in the past 12 months,” said Micharl Shearer, managing director at Coopers.

“Coopers is always keen to hear from our fans and we’re pleased to be able to meet this request, even if it is just for a limited time.

“Our brewers have trialled and tested the beer in the can format. It tastes and looks great, so we’re confident it will be well received.”

Head to your local or check out the Coopers beer finder to see where you can grab your Coopers Dark Ale cans while they last.

The day after Coles Group presented its positive FY25 results from profits to staff morale and customer satisfaction, it was Woolworths turn with investors, but with a far less happy tale. Its 17 per cent drop in net profit due to underwhelming performance of Australian supermarkets (consumers are still not trusting the fresh food people) and the albatross known as Big W, made CEO Amanda Bardwell’s reassurances and positive spin feel precarious at worst and vaguely hopeful at best.
