The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) will be holding its 2021 Australasian Packaging mini conference as a virtual edition this year to be held on 17 and 18 of August.

The fourth annual PKN + Food & Drink Business Women in Packaging Breakfast Forum will also take place as a virtual event on 18 August as part of the packaging conference.

Having served the industry for over 28 years, this technical event brings together people from across multiple disciplines including packaging technology, design, engineering, sales, marketing, business development, procurement, sustainability and more, to better understand the technical side of packaging design.

The biennial event is also a spotlight to showcase best-practice and award-winning packaging designs that have been recognised by their peers in the annual Packing Innovation & Design Awards.

Many of the innovations that will be discussed over the two days have gone on to win WorldStar Packaging general awards and WorldStar special awards, which have added global peer recognition to their achievements.

“This educational event will allow attendees the opportunity to be inspired by what other companies are already developing in key industries and markets, and will allow attendees to hear their challenges and learnings through the packaging design journey,” says Nerida Kelton, executive director, AIP.

“Walk away with new ideas and inspiration for your next packaging project and hear from innovations in sustainable and save food packaging design; domestic and household; health, beauty and wellness; food; beverage; and marketing.”

The conference is designed so that interested parties can choose to:

  •       Join live via Zoom and interact with the sessions as it happens;
  •       Watch the live video of the session; or
  •       Watch a recording of the session at a later time.

There will also be live interactive opportunities during the morning tea and lunch breaks to learn about new innovations, materials and equipment that the industry has to offer.

Tickets are $350 for AIP members, $450 for partner association members, and $490 for non-AIP members. Click here for more details or to register.
