Entries are now open for the 2026 Women in Packaging Awards, with organisers encouraging companies across the packaging value chain to put forward outstanding female talent – particularly in the program’s new Rising Star category.

Introduced this year, the Rising Star Award recognises women early in their careers who are already making an impact through innovation, leadership and professional initiative. The category is designed to highlight emerging professionals demonstrating strong potential to shape the future of the industry.

Eligible nominees may be working in any packaging-related role – from design, technology and manufacturing to sustainability, marketing, engineering or brand management – reflecting the diverse ecosystem that drives packaging innovation across Australasia.

According to the awards criteria, the Rising Star Award celebrates women who show initiative, creativity and a commitment to driving positive change through projects, operational improvements, sustainability initiatives or technical problem-solving. Judges will assess nominees on their early industry impact, the value they are creating through their work, and their commitment to professional development.

Now in its third year, the PKN Women in Packaging Awards has quickly become a key industry platform recognising the achievements of women across the packaging sector – while also encouraging greater diversity in technical, operational and leadership roles.

Entries are open to individuals working within the Australasian packaging industry and may be submitted by colleagues or through self-nomination.

Entries close 4pm, Friday 27 March, with winners to be announced at the Women in Packaging Awards event in Melbourne on 25 June 2026.

Further details and entry forms are available at pknwomeninpack.com.au.
