The 2026 Sustainable Packaging Summit will bring global industry leaders together to examine packaging sustainability, regulatory change and material innovation, with the agenda featuring insights from major brands and European policymakers.
The full agenda for the Summit is now live and gives a rundown on all the discussions and debates that will be taking place at the event.
Highlights include:
- Paul Polman, co-author of Net Positive, on how to find business opportunities in the sustainable packaging transformation.
- A discussion on the PPWR and its key implications with Emmanuelle Maire of the European Commission.
- An inside look into how Europe’s largest retailers approach packaging sustainability with Paul Earnshaw, lead packaging development manager at Tesco.
Attendees will also hear from a number of other expert speakers, including:
- Anne Bedarf, director for global packaging and plastics sustainability at Colgate-Palmolive.
- Archana Jagannathan, chief sustainability officer for Europe at PepsiCo.
- Jonathan Gill, head of sustainability at Unilever.
- Kiril Dimitrov, global paper packaging lead at Nestle.
- Lee Ellen Drechsler, senior vice-president for corporate R&D at Procter & Gamble.
Besides the key programme of panels and discussions, there will also be plenty of time for attendees to network with professionals from across the packaging industry during themed networking breaks, the Block Party, and on the new AI-powered matchmaking app.
The Sustainability Awards, which take place at the Summit on 11 November, are also the perfect place to meet like-minded packaging experts and talk about the solutions and projects that are truly making a difference.
As always, regulation and EPR will be front and centre, and the Summit will welcome leaders from the EU, associations, academia and industry to make sense of the PPWR, explain how it will affect you, and give insights into how you can successfully tackle the key requirements.
Each day has a core theme. On the first day, delegates will examine the current strategic landscape and consider how businesses can mobilise to meet the associated challenges. The second day will see discussions on how packaging materials can be transformed, and the third day will look ahead to the future of innovation.
