Husky presented technologies aimed at supporting circular packaging and sustainability throughout the complete package lifecycle.

Wassim Labban, vice president, Systems & Tooling, EEMEIA, SEA, ANZ at Husky, emphasised the evolving PET conversion industry and the company's dedication to sustainable practices. “The current dynamics in the global PET conversion industry – both upstream, with advancements in rPET, decarbonisation, and decentralisation, and downstream with developments in bottling, enhanced packaging capabilities, and democratisation of water – presented exciting new opportunities. We invited both existing customers and emerging producers... to explore how we could shape a more circular, sustainable future together,” said Labban.

Husky’s exhibition featured:

  • HyPET 6e injection moulding platform: Making its regional debut, the HyPET 6e platform integrated machine, mould, auxiliary systems, and remote monitoring. The system supported the use of rPET, enhanced energy efficiency, and employed closed-loop quality control.
  • Innovative packaging solutions: Demonstrations included application designs that enabled lightweight packaging with high rPET content, label-free options, bio-based materials, multi-layer technology, and tethered closure designs.
  • Advantage+Elite remote monitoring program: This connected solution used real-time data for process optimisation and waste reduction, especially in the production of packaging containing higher percentages of recycled materials.
  • Advisory and maintenance programs: Husky’s Advisory Services and Hot Runner Care programs provided expert support and proactive maintenance for sustained operational effectiveness.

Husky’s commitment to sustainable practices, including the use of bio-based materials and technologies enhancing recyclability, underscored its dedication to the circular economy.
