BioPak is partnering with restoration platform veritree to fund almost 60,000 verified trees over the next 18 months, supporting ecosystem restoration projects in British Columbia, Canada, and Tanzania.
The partnership uses veritree's technology platform to monitor and verify every planting session using real-time field data, allowing BioPak to track restoration outcomes including biodiversity, water systems, land recovery, local livelihoods and carbon sequestration estimates.
BioPak has also launched an Impact Hub, a public dashboard that provides real-time updates on its restoration projects. The platform allows users to track planting progress, view project locations and monitor outcomes including the area restored, tree species and carbon sequestration estimates.
Richard Fine, founder of BioPak, said, "Planting trees has been part of who we are since 2010, but this partnership takes our commitment to a new level," Fine said.
"With veritree, our restoration efforts are triple-verified, backed by photo evidence and walking paths, and we're able to measure the real impact on ecosystems and communities. That accountability is exactly what meaningful climate action requires."
The company said the partnership expands its existing tree planting program by providing greater visibility into where trees are planted and the environmental and community outcomes they generate.
According to BioPak, it has planted 210,630 trees through partnerships with Rainforest Rescue, Greenfleet, Ecologi and other environmental organisations since 2010. It also said 95 per cent of its products are now made from renewable materials and 74 per cent of its paper and wood products are FSC-certified.

BioPak said the initiative builds on its Give Back Fund program, which has supported tree planting and environmental restoration projects for more than 15 years.
