Amcor’s CleanStream recycling technology has been recognised with a Luxe Pack Green Award in the CSR Initiative category at Luxe Pack in Monaco.

CleanStream mechanically processes household polypropylene (PP) waste into packaging suitable for contact-sensitive products, such as those used in beauty and personal care. Using AI, the technology separates and purifies the polymer to achieve high material quality, allowing it to replace a larger share of virgin resin in packaging.

According to Amcor, CleanStream enables brands to create packaging with consistent performance and appearance while reducing carbon impact. The company said this supports customers’ efforts to comply with legislation such as the Plastics Packaging Tax and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).

Arnaud Amouroux, vice president of sales beauty & wellness at Amcor, said, “We are delighted to receive this award, which is a testament to the technical skills and commitment of the entire CleanStream team. The objective behind CleanStream was to create the ideal post-consumer recycled PP that could be made available at scale to meet the growing demand from companies throughout the UK and Europe.”

Amouroux added that the technology is already being used by several leading brands.

Amcor’s CleanStream facility in Leamington Spa recycles nearly 40 per cent of all collected and sorted PP waste in the UK. The company has secured access to 50,000 tonnes of curbside-collected PP waste annually, equivalent to more than one billion individual packaging itemsto support its global sustainability objectives.

Amcor said CleanStream adds value to waste PP by keeping materials in circulation and reducing landfill, incineration, and environmental leakage.

Food & Drink Business

If 2025 taught Australian brands anything, it’s that many growth pockets exist throughout an Australian FMCG industry exhibiting patchy performance. Circana insights director Australia, Daniel Bone, discusses what trends the market research company is seeing, and how food and drink brands can come out on top in 2026.

Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) has warned it will take a significant non-cash impairment against its Americas business, with the company preparing to write off at least all US goodwill valued at $687.4 million as at June 2025.

Maggie Beer Holdings (MBH) chair Mark Lindh has used the company’s 2025 AGM to lay out a clearer path for stabilising and rebuilding the business, telling shareholders the group has “earned the right to grow” after a year of intense restructuring, cost-cutting and strategic refocus.
