Kimberly-Clark has appointed a new head of supply chain for Australia and New Zealand, Jessica Renton, who steps into the role with nearly two decades of expertise across manufacturing, FMCG, retail and healthcare.

Renton initially joined Kimberly-Clark ANZ as logistics and operations manager in March 2023, swiftly taking increased accountability of planning and safety just six months later.

“With a keen focus on best practice and a strong team of logistics and supply chain professionals around me, I’ve relished every opportunity that’s come my way at Kimberly-Clark and couldn’t be more thrilled to be taking a step up as ANZ’s head of supply chain,” Renton said.

“The business understands the role that operational excellence plays in not only supporting its growth, but the relationship it holds with customers and consumers across the region.

“And as we strive towards making further sustainability and efficiency improvements, I look forward to playing a key role in driving us forwards.”

Since her arrival, Renton has been instrumental in enhancing supply chain operations – focusing on inventory management, sales and operational planning, supply and demand planning, safety protocols and logistics.

Renton also played a vital role in the opening of Kimberly-Clark ANZ’s state-of-the-art distribution centre in Victoria in March.

“Over the past 18 months, Jess’ extensive expertise and exceptional leadership skills have enabled her to make a significant impact on our supply chain operations, and it’s for this reason that I’m delighted to welcome her to the role for the ANZ region,” said Belinda Driscoll, managing director of Kimberly-Clark ANZ.

“Joining a leadership team that’s fully committed to flexibility and inclusion, Jess’s appointment is a reflection of the opportunities available to exceptional talent at Kimberly-Clark – regardless of their gender.

“Under her guidance, the team has already delivered a series of operational efficiencies and milestones, and I have no doubt that Jess’s strategic insights will support the business to enhance its supply chain and further improve customer and consumer experience in the years to come.”

As head of supply chain, Renton will spearhead the transformation of Kimberly-Clark ANZ’s supply network, playing a pivotal role in enhancing customer service and unlocking further growth for the business and its portfolio of personal care brands.

Based at the company’s headquarters in North Sydney, Renton will join Kimberly-Clark’s leadership team for the ANZ region effective immediately.

Kimberly-Clark recently opened a new DC in Victoria, where Renton participated in the opening ceremony.

The day after Coles Group presented its positive FY25 results from profits to staff morale and customer satisfaction, it was Woolworths turn with investors, but with a far less happy tale. Its 17 per cent drop in net profit due to underwhelming performance of Australian supermarkets (consumers are still not trusting the fresh food people) and the albatross known as Big W, made CEO Amanda Bardwell’s reassurances and positive spin feel precarious at worst and vaguely hopeful at best.
