Amcor will present a range of flexible, rigid and carton packaging solutions at Pack Expo Las Vegas, taking place from 29 September to 1 October.

The portfolio on display will include options for grocery, beverage, foodservice, industrial, beauty and personal care, and healthcare markets. Amcor said it will highlight packaging designed for a circular economy, including what it describes as “more sustainable” options. According to the company, more than 95 per cent of its product portfolio is recycle ready.

Amcor will also demonstrate its ASSET life cycle assessment program, which provides environmental impact comparisons across 150 markets.

Technologies on display will include:

  • rigid packaging with lightweighting, recycled content and recyclability features
  • the AmPrima recycle-ready portfolio
  • recycled content inclusion through AmFiniti
  • AmFiber paper-based curbside recyclable packaging
  • downgauged film structures

Mary Johnson, senior director at Amcor, said, “In our booth, Amcor’s packaging and equipment experts will demonstrate technologies to meet the needs of our customers’ businesses.”

Equipment demonstrations will include the Liquiflex VFFS foodservice pouch system engineered by Australian OEM HMPS Propac, which the company says can increase output while requiring less production floor space. The system supports hot-fill, cold-fill, frozen, refrigerated and shelf-stable products, with applications such as soups, sauces and condiments.

Amcor will also run demonstrations of its Moda Bag vacuum packaging system with Amcor shrink tubing. The on-demand bag-making and printing system is designed for meat and cheese products. It uses high-resolution thermal transfer printing, removing the need to stock multiple SKUs of printed shrink bags or labels.

Amcor will be located at booth N-9210.
