Bosch Packaging Technology and Amcor have partnered to develop ZipSpeed, a material designed to run on Bosch’s new SVE 2520DZ vertical Doy Zip bag machine.

The SVE 2520DZ is considered the fastest Doy Zip vertical bagger on the market, and ZipSpeed is a PET/PE laminate offering seal strength and a smoother appearance when applying reclosable zippers.

A special sealing application eliminates the need to punch holes in order to form and seal the bags, creating simplified and faster processing.

In trials, the ZipSpeed material ran at full machine speed of 100 packs per minute.

The ZipSpeed laminate has a wider sealing temperature range than standard materials, at 100-180°C, allowing customers to use lower seal temperatures.

At the same time, the material has high heat resistance for the application of recloseable zippers.
