The jury for the 9th Pentawards has been chosen, with Gérard Caron, editor of Admirable Design and president of Caron Design Network in France its chairman. Caron established brand agency, Carré Noir, in 1973 which is now part of Publicis Groupe. He is co-founder and former president of PDA (Pan-European Brand Design Association) and has created at least 1,200 brand identities and 13,000 package designs during a rather prestigious career

Australian Olof ten Hoorn, design director at Cowan in Melbourne, is one of the twelve jury members. 

The twelve jurors are:

  • Dayton Henderson: senior director, global design for Kimberly-Clark Corporation, Oshkosh, Wisconsin USA
  • Olof ten Hoorn: design director, Cowan, Melbourne Australia
  • Anna Lukinina: executive director and partner, Depot WPF, Moscow Russia
  • Elie Papiernik: managing partner and creative director, centdegrés, Paris France
  • Gregory Tsaknakis: creative director and manager, Mousegraphics, Athens Greece
  • Isabelle Dahlborg Lindström: creative director and managing partner, NINE AB, Stockholm Sweden
  • Asa Cook: creative director, Design Bridge, London UK
  • Takeshi Usui: Deputy Director of the Pola Museum of Art, Pola Art Foundation, Tokyo - Japan
  • Sarah Moffat: creative director, Turner Duckworth London and San Francisco USA
  • Jamie Stone: Global head of design / Nutrition, GlaxoSmithKline Singapore
  • Somchana Kangwarnjit: executive creative director, Prompt Design, Bangkok Thailand

Pentawards was launched in 2007 and is the major worldwide competition exclusively devoted to packaging design in all its forms and is internationally recognised as the reference for packaging design.

It is open to everybody in every country in the world who is associated with the creation and marketing of packaging. It applauds winners with bronze, silver, gold, platinum or diamond Pentawards according to the creative quality of their work. The jury ranks packaging design submissions according to their creativity, innovation, branding and quality.

Apart from prize-giving, Pentawards' mission is the promotion of packaging design with companies, the press, the economic and political authorities and the public in general, throughout the world.

The 9th Pentawards will be open for online registration from 9 March to 24 April 2015.

The Rouge Homme wine brand has been re-acquired by the Redman family, 60 years after it was sold to Lindeman’s Wines, owned by Treasury Wine Estates (TWE).

Pure Foods Tasmania (PFT) has appointed Robert (Rob) Knight as CEO and managing director, effective 1 July. He takes over from Malcolm McAully, who has led the company as executive chairman since the resignation of former CEO Michael Cooper in July 2024.
