In an industry first, the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has announced the launch of the 2015 Packaging & Processing Salary and Education Survey.

Designed to shed light on the opinions, feelings, and level of training of those within Australia's food, beverage, manufacturing and packaging industries, it will result in a summary report which is given to AIP members, industry bodies, and the wider community.

The AIP will ask for information on salaries; opinions on the economy and how it impacts a person’s career; how individuals feel their job has evolved during the past 12 months; their feelings of job security; and information about education and training within the industry.

It will provide each industry member the opportunity to discuss issues relevant to them, and how they fare in terms of salary, conditions, training and education.

The AIP encourages all packaging industry members to participate.

“The more people that are involved, the better the outcome for all,” the AIP said. “The survey is confidential and respondents will not be asked for personal or company details - and it takes less then 10 minutes to complete.”
