When a branding agency called Fizzbuzz announces its packaging work for a product called wRist-Drink in the first week of April, you have to wonder...

But UK agency, Fizzbuzz, has in fact created the packaging for a real product called wRist-Drink. And yes, it is a drink container bracelet – or in the agency’s words, “an innovative product for sports and fitness use, designed to fit over the wrist whilst running, climbing or exercising at the gym.”

The agency also noted, “With such an unusual product, it is essential to show its usefulness, so customers immediately understand it.” That goes without saying, really.

The agency achieved its aim by showing the product in use on the front of the box and adding the descriptor, “Hands Free Hydration”. The product is shown on the side panel with its key features listed.

The simple recyclable carton board box was designed to allow high quality graphics on a small production budget. Vibrant colours were chosen to stand out on shelf. A water droplet motif used in the negative spaces underscores the product’s usefulness.
