The Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) will be exhibiting in the Association Partner Pavilion at Pack Expo, as well as taking part in an 'Amazing Race' involving packaging students.

Held in Chicago USA from 6-9 November, Pack Expo is a processing and packaging trade show with over 45,000 attendees expected from more than 40 vertical markets.

APPMA chairman Mark Dingley said the event offered global exposure for members and access for companies looking for innovative Australian-manufactured packaging and processing machinery.

“The APPMA will be a participating exhibitor in the Amazing Packaging Race again in 2016 and we're extremely proud of our small contribution to this fabulous event for packaging students in the US,” he said.

“The race will take place on 9 November, during the last day of Pack Expo, with participating students making their way around the vast 1.1+ million net square feet of show floor space to complete a series of tasks assigned by exhibitors.”

Dingley said the show helped the APPMA raise its international profile and continue to build its partnership with sister association PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies.
