Automation solutions company Foodmach has partnered with x-ray inspection equipment specialist HEUFT Germany to host a series of technical seminars in Sydney and Melbourne.

The seminars will showcase the next generation of inspection devices, which, combined with their own in-house continuous automation systems, employ OMAC & PackML methodology for optimal overall equipment efficiencies (OEEs).

The talks, followed by lunch, will be held on 14 September in Sydney and 15 September in Melbourne.

Last year, there were 81 food product recall cases in Australia and New Zealand.

Most of these were due to microbial contamination, followed by undeclared allergens and foreign matter, according to Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).

According to Foodmach, reliable in-line detection minimises the risk of injury caused by foreign objects, and HEUFT systems can also track down other safety and quality defects in good time.

Special modules for checking different features and verifying codes prevent, for example, incorrectly marked products reaching the market which could threaten the health of allergy sufferers.

Speakers at the September events will include Foodmach’s Jamie Bailey (OMAC) as well as Dr Rym Kachouri and Martina Frey of HEUFT Germany.

Also showcased will be the HEUFT SPECTRUM platform, which has revolutionised quality assurance for filling and packaging lines sustainability.

As spaces are limited, if you'd like to participate in one of The Next Generation seminars, RSVP by 2 September here.
