Australian Warehouse Solutions (AWS) has announced the local availability of a new cost-effective void filling solution, designed to create more snug-fitted packed boxes of products without adding weight to the cartons.

The company says the new Fromm Airpads are at least half the cost of styrene chips, bubble wrap or crushed paper, yet still ensure goods arrive at customers in the same condition they leave a supplier's despatch dock.

The receiver simply deflates the air pouch and disposes of the fully recyclable film.

The pouches support all sizes of items in generic boxes, and the size of the pillows can be fixed or varied depending on the model of the Airpad machine.

The films used to make the Airpads are linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), which also ensures the air pillows are strong and won’t leak or deflate.

For electronic goods, anti-static films are also available.

The Fromm Airpad machines can be rented, purchased or supplied free with contract film purchases from AWS.
