Pact had been searching for a suitable partner focused on child and family welfare support after an employee engagement survey showed a desire to address this area of need.

"Our employee engagement activities continue to be successful, as indicated by an increase in our engagement scores in our annual survey," the company said in its annual report.

"This included involvement in community giving programs such as Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, which saw us in our ninth year of supporting the Cancer Council, and our new partnership with Ronald McDonald House.

"We also had group-wide participation in the Global Corporate Challenge to help focus on health and wellbeing."

With 16 locations around Australia, Ronald McDonald House offers a home-away-from-home for families of seriously ill children.

The houses offer a more comfortable location than a waiting room, chair on a ward, or car, while children are cared for in hospital.
