The owner of packaging company Lombard the Paper People has been awarded an Order of Australian Medal (OAM) at Government House for his services to the printing industry.

Lombard represents the second generation of the family business, and has served as both Australia Day ambassador and board member of the Melbourne Tourism Authority.

He has become known for promoting ecologically sound packaging initiatives for over 30 years, alongside other advancements within the printing, packaging and event industries.

“I’m really proud to be working in this industry and also being a member of the Lombard family," he said.

"I’m definitely not one that sits and waits for things to happen, and have been constantly pushing for improvements and changes in our industry."
