The new Foodtech trade show, running in Brisbane from 26 to 28 June, will have a section dedicated to packaging technology.

A number of businesses will exhibit new packaging technology that will inform product development and innovation, from co-extrusion to thermoforming.

One of the exhibtors, Flexopack, is a major European packaging manufacturer offering a huge variety of products, with an emphasis in co-extrusion of barrier and non-barrier films.

With the food industry its primary market, the global company will provide an opportunity for businesses to discuss the best packaging solution for their business.

MOSCA Australia will also exhibit at show, providing an opportunity for visitors to investigate their strapping systems.

Made for the industrial packaging equipment and supplies marketplace, the company offers both specialised, automatic, in-line and off-line strapping systems for the corrugated, graphic arts, mailing, general packaging and bottle industries.

Ulma Packaging, also exhibiting at Foodtech QLD, offers different technologies (macro-perforations, micro-perforations) as well as controllable permeability so that packaging and the concentration of gases can be controlled.

Ulma also offers flow pack, vertical, tray-sealing and stretch film technologies – the work is focused on creativity and innovation, with its established non-profit service co-operative dedicated to research, development and innovation.

Multivac offers packaging solutions for the food, medical and industrial industry.

Its service provides packaging for food items, with output and degrees of automation determined by the customer.

Over 60 per cent of the thermoforming packaging machines worldwide are made by Multivac.

Enterline’s tray sealing products will provide an opportunity for cafes, restaurants and fresh food stores to revolutionise the way food is packaged, with its machines offering fast and efficient sealing with a variety of tray options.
