Matthews Australasia has launched the new Linx TJ725 Thermal Inkjet Coder (TIJ) in Australia, at AUSPACK PLUS.

The TJ725 is a high-resolution, digital solution for coding text and graphics onto outer cases, boxes, shelf ready trays and packaging.

The TJ725 is supplied, ready to install out of the box, making it simple to fit, without the need for a service engineer or specialist installation tools. With minimal setup, the coder can be up and running within minutes, which will be helpful for manufacturers.

The innovative slower nozzle-drying process — not common in other thermal inkjet technologies saves — money and cuts waste because it is ready to print straight away every time.

Matthews general manager operations, Mark Dingley, said the new coder was one of a number of technology highlights on the company’s stand.

“We are showing a range of technologies, including our iDSnet Enterprise and iDSnet Manager reporting software, small character continuous inkjet coders, thermal transfer over printers, lasers, large character drop-on-demand printers, label applicators and label print applicators (LPA),” he said.

“In fact, we have a special custom-built LPA on the stand to celebrate our 1000th Fox IV LPA installation in the Australian market.

“This year, Matthews is also showing our range of machine vision technologies and our capability to check packaging quality. Our iQVision technologies include a range of vision systems for inspection, guidance, identification, measurement, tracking and counting, across a host of industries,” he said.
