Husky Injection Molding Systems showcased its new system solution for the manufacture of specialty closures, HyperSync.

On the Husky stand at K, the HyperSync system was manufacturing a 6.1 gram flip-top closure for a shampoo bottle application running an extremely fast 8.5 second cycle time.

“We are very excited about what the HyperSync platform will offer those customers looking for increased integration of machine and mould for unique applications,” said Steve Lawrynuik, president of Husky’s Medical and Specialty Packaging business.

“The name is really reflective of what the integration of machine and mould features can do, which is synchronise the machine and mould functions, extremely well and at impressively fast cycle times.”

Husky says the HyperSync is a synchronised system, with mould, machine hot runner and auxiliaries designed to work together. Combined with intelligent features and networking capabailities that highlight Industry 4.0-level connectivity, the increased synchronisation of machine and mould processes delivers faster cycle times at a lower total part cost, with no impact to product quality.

The fully integrated eIMC in-mould closing technology provides more precise control during moulding, with safe overlapping of mould functions to enable better part quality, while providing a more than 20% cycle time improvement.
