Those in the intelligent packaging industry will have the chance to pitch their 'best solution' to Heineken as part of the AIPIA Congress in Amsterdam.

Entrants of the Heineken Elevator Pitch will be given five minutes on 14 November to explain how technology can help Heineken bottles surprise and engage with consumers.

Heineken is looking for intelligent packaging within the following criteria:

  • Smart use of technology
  • Something surprising and engaging for consumers
  • A bottle that is always ON when in contact with consumers
  • Fits with the Heineken brand
  • Responsible in the context of selling alcohol

The solution should be designed for Heineken's next-generation bottles.

The winners will be announced during the congress and will be asked to discuss a possible partnership with Heineken before the end of the year.

The AIPIA and Heineken will manage the selection process and encourage all AIPIA members to apply.
