Fifty packaging design experts judged the Tetra Evero Aseptic worthy of an iF award for its innovative concept, attractive appearance, ease of handling and outstanding environmental performance.

It seems likely that millions of consumers will agree. Long life milk in a bottle shape is a really useful idea. That seems to suggest it should make it onto Australian and New Zealand shelves in the very near future.

“Tetra Evero Aseptic is based on an imaginative design that combines the easy handling of a bottle with the food protection and environmental advantages of an aseptic carton. The ergonomic cylindrical shape with flat side panels makes it easy for big and small hands to hold, whilst the printing space across the whole surface of the package offers maximum branding impact to capture consumer attention,” said Lars Bengtsson, product group director at Tetra Pak. “All of these are made possible by a number of technology breakthroughs, including the first injection moulding for aseptic packaging. Winning an iF Packaging Design Award is testament to all the hard work of our R&D team.”

iF Industrie Forum Design e.V. turned sixty last year. As an independent organisation, iF is an important mediator between design and business. This year, the iF Packaging Design Award attracted 264 entries.

This year too, iF launched its design app with 3,300 photos. All the winners in the iF design awards 2014 are presented - award-winning products, packaging designs and communication ideas. Each entry is described clearly with large, animated images or videos. There is also infomation about the jurors. And if you want to know what it takes to win a gold award, the app presents jury comments about iF gold award winners. Content will be updated regular and currently includes 2013 iF winners.

You can download the app here.

Tetra Pak will be able to use the iF logo on all Tetra Evero Aseptic packages for customers. The company received its award at the BMW Welt in Munich, and the package will be on display at the iF design exhibition in Hamburg.
