A technical dinner addressing industrial labelling and adhesives will be held next month in Victoria.

The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has joined with Surface Coatings Association of Australia (SCAA) to run the event, on 28 October at Box Hill Golf Course.

The talk will cover the many different types of label adhesive, from food grade or repositionable adhesives designed to easily correct automatic labelling errors, through to ultra-strong industrial strength products designed to stick to bulk storage pallecons. Visitors will also hear about the many aspects of a product's lifecycle, and everything in between.

Speakers include Lance Barlow, who will speak on the chemistry involved in meeting the challenges of PSA label usage and some of the newer technology in PSAs.

Dr Carol Lawrence Phd, FAIP will give attendees basic adhesive knowledge and the contacts to acquire more in-depth information, should a specific label adhesive problem arise in the future. Richard Lau from DIC Australia will discuss new innovations in special effects and barrier coatings. He will also provide information on the latest global food packaging compliance issues in regards to ink technology and evolving trends in brand protection technology.

To book your place visit the events section of the AIP's website.
