Epson has earmarked next month's PacPrint trade show in Melbourne for the first public showing of its versatile short run digital label press, the SurePress L-4033A.

“It’s time for SurePress to make its Australian trade show debut, given its successes in the field,” Epson Australia's business unit manager, Craig Heckenberg, said.

The company will be running hourly demonstrations of SurePress at the show, showing its versatility by printing on different ranges of coated and uncoated stocks.

There will also be samples printed by the SurePress L-4033AW with a seven colour AQ ink set including white on substrates such as clear box and metallised box.

'“SurePress installations are being driven by the need for better margins and the increasing demand for high-quality customised shorter run label production, so the response to SurePress’s flexibility and quality has been very strong, particularly in some specialised areas like wine labelling,” Heckenberg said.

“Digital setup processes are cleaner and quicker and variable content is easily integrated into a the single print run.”

Top of the SurePress range is the L-4033AW with a seven colour AQ ink set including white that ensures customers can produce not only solid, opaque white printing but also precise colour matching and accurate reproduction of spot and specialty colours to meet a client’s precise needs.

SurePress prints on a range of off-the-shelf substrates with no pre-coating required up to 12.6 mm thick and any width in the range 80 to 330 mm.
