Matthews Australasia has announced the appointment of 18-year company veteran Mark Dingley as its general manager of operations.
Dingley joined Matthews in 1994, and in his time with the company has worked through different departments in various roles, beginning with customer service, then progressing through marketing, product management and software product development.
In his most recent role as the company's manager of identification systems and software, Dingley spearheaded developing the award-winning Matthews'iDSnet product, now used by manufacturing organisations across Australia.
“At Matthews, we value and reward talent, commitment and passion. I am confident that Mark will continue to take Matthews on the growth and innovation journey that we began almost 35 years ago,” the managing director of Matthews Australasia, Lester Nichol, said.
Dingley said he was looking looking forward to taking on the GM’s role for operations.
“My strengths are in management, project management and business development, and I’ll keep using these skills to further develop the company as we continue to support and improve the efficiency of Australian manufacturing businesses and their supply chains with market-leading intelligent identification solutions,” he said.
Actively engaged in the industry, Mark is also chairman of the Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) and is involved with track and trace organisation, GS1 Australia. He has a Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) degree from RMIT University.
