Speciality BOPP films manufacturer Cosmo Films will launch a new range of premium lamination films under the Luxotique brand at drupa.

New, improved velvet, scuff-free matte and digital lamination films have been designed for the needs of luxury packaging and high-end graphic lamination industries.

Velvet Lamination Films are the flagship product of the range, lending a rich velvet finish to the printed surface.

Engineered on a matte base film, it gives a premium finish to luxury liquor, perfume, watches and jewellery packs/ boxes.

The film can also be used for laminating coffee table books, high-end magazines, brochures, and manuals.

Scuff-free Matte Lamination Films provide resistance to scuff marks which can develop during production, transportation and handling of the pack.

The matte surface of the film is also suited to post-laminating procedures such as UV spot coating, hot foil stamping, and embossing.

The film is suited to laminating packing boxes of electronic goods such as mobile phones, tablets, and power banks.

Digital Lamination Films have been specially engineered to provide strong bonding to digital printed surfaces, along with good optics and protection.

The films are available in both gloss and matte varieties.

Cosmo will also showcase its standard and special applications lamination films at the expo.

Its special application films include Insulation Films and Mapped and Matched Films.

Pure Wine Co has been appointed as the exclusive national mainland distributor for Tasmanian winery, Pipers Brook Vineyard. Effective from 1 March, Pure Wine Co will manage national mainland distribution and trade sales for Pipers Brook and its Kreglinger Sparkling, Pipers Tasmania and Ninth Island labels.

The fourth round of the federal government’s Traceability Grants Program is now open for applications, with funding from $50,000 to $500,000 available for projects modernising and enhancing agricultural traceability systems.
