The VP700 by VIP Color high performance inkjet label printer has made its first appearance in Australia at AUSPACK. It is on show at Label Power’s Booth 208.

Label Power managing director, James Malone noted, "The VP700 is a revolutionary digital print-on-demand colour label and tag printer. It raises the performance benchmark whilst lowering the cost of on demand colour label printing for all industries."

"With the addition of Bartender Labelling software by Seagull Scientific you have the ability to design and print full colour labels at high speed with variable data and barcoding"

The new printer is powered by Memjet thermal inkjet technology and is capable of printing at 18 metres per minute or 304 mm per second (12"). This is equivalent to printing 100 full colour labels 100x150mm in less than one minute.

Its colour graphics are exceptionally vibrant. Its text crisp and barcodes are possible up to 1600x1600 dpi in resolution.

It prints exact batch quantities. It prints up-to-the-minute label content.

With the roll unwinder incorporated into the steel body of the machine the VP700 is the most compact Memjet printer on the market. For long runs, external 355mm OD unwinders and 355mm OD rewinders are also available.

The VP700 will print on a large number of media types, from paper to synthetic Labels and tags with matt or gloss finishes. Silver, gold and clear synthetic inkjet stocks are available from Label Power.

It will even print and present just one label at a time with its cut and present feature.
