The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has been busy assessing submissions for two annual industry scholarship programs.

The programs give packaging technologists, designers or engineers in Australia and New Zealand the opportunity to complete a Diploma in Packaging Technology to the value of $9000.

Starting this year, there will be two scholarships available: the Australian Scholarship will continue to be sponsored by the APPMA, and the New Zealand program will be launched by the Packaging Council of New Zealand.

The Diploma in Packaging Technology is a Level 5 qualification which is internationally recognised. It suits those wishing to pursue a career in the packaging industry, or employees wishing to extend their knowledge and expertise.

The diploma prepares students to take responsibility for packaging operations at any level throughout the supply chain.

The qualification provides an opportunity to study the principles of packaging, packaging materials, and packaging processes.

Entry forms for the scholarship can be found here. The deadline for submissions is Friday 23 February, 2018.
