Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific and Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd have become strategic partners for the supply of Titan slitter rewinders.

The new bond between the two major providers, Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific (AFAP) and Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd, began when Amcor signed a preferred vendor agreement with Atlas.

With both companies keen to cement their places as leaders in the packaging and converting industries and Amcor eager to continue the pace of its growth spurt in Asia Pacific, it made sense for AFAP and Atlas to work together to leverage each other’s experience and commitment to innovation and technology.

The agreement, which was signed by Amcor Flexibles Asia Pacific (AFAP) president Ralf Wunderlich and Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd’s managing director Alan Johnson, provides standard machine specifications and options, together with an optimised and simplified process for ordering, delivery, installation and commissioning.

Amcor has ordered four Titan slitter rewinders as part of the agreement, which will include quarterly reviews to monitor progress.

Ralf Wunderlich said, “This strategic partnership supports Amcor’s growth agenda, enhancing our ability to rapidly respond to the needs of our customers in this high-growth region. We are very pleased to be partnering with Atlas, and are confident that with their global reach and expertise, we will be well supported throughout Asia Pacific to continue to deliver the safest, most innovative packaging solutions to our customers."

“As the largest flexible converter in the Asia Pacific region, Amcor’s choice to appoint Atlas Converting as their preferred vendor is a win for us, and no doubt this relationship will strongly benefit both partners,” Alan Johnson, managing director Atlas Converting, added.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with Atlas, and are confident that with their global reach and expertise, we will be well supported throughout Asia Pacific to continue to deliver the safest, most innovative packaging solutions to our customers,” Wunderlich said.

Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd. was established in 1976 and has grown to become one of the most successful manufacturers, and a world leader in, slitting and rewinding technology for the global converting industry, with more than 1000 of its slitter rewinders installed worldwide. The company has twice won the prestigious Queen's Award for Export Achievement - in 1983 and 1989.
