Renewable packaging solutions company Stora Enso has launched a natural-look paperboard for food packaging, beverages, cosmetics, and luxury products.

Called CKB Nude, the product responds to consumer demand for renewable, recyclable, and sustainable materials with a natural, uncoated brown look.

The paperboard is claimed to be durable and lightweight as it is made from pure virgin fibre.

It is made from 100 per cent virgin fibre and follows a production process similar to liquid packaging board.

It offers proven food safety, with no coating chemicals used.

The company says the material's “good runnability and convertibility” enables high production efficiency and packaging performance in every application.
