As Pro Ali Design celebrates 40 years in business in 2026, the company reflects on a journey from its fabrication beginnings to becoming a trusted provider of turnkey conveying and processing systems for the food and packaging industries across Australia and New Zealand.

Starting from humble beginnings within general aluminium and stainless steel fabrication, the company has grown to become a leading manufacturer of turnkey conveying and processing systems for the food and packaging industries.

Pro Ali produces concept designs to realise its clients’ objectives, created using Solidworks, through to manufacture, installation, commissioning and servicing its installations, nationally and internationally.

The company’s continued investments in state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques and equipment position it strongly for the next 40 years of partnership within the Australian and New Zealand Food manufacturing segments.

“Our biggest milestones have been built around long-term partnerships and repeat delivery for food processors across Australia and New Zealand,” Miles Fink, founder of Pro Ali Design, tells PKN.

“Delivering often complex conveying systems and complete boning room fit-outs – particularly for high-throughput facilities – has been a defining part of our growth.

“Equally important has been our transition into a full-service provider. Today, we control the entire process – design, engineering, fabrication, and installation – which gives us a much higher level of accountability and consistency across every project.”

Another reason for the company’s success has been its capabilities to meet the evolving needs of the food and packaging industries. Notably, as the industry shifted towards higher hygiene standards, greater throughput, and reduced reliance on labour – so did the company.

“Our focus has been on designing systems that are cleaner, more efficient, and easier to maintain,” explains Fink.

“Today, we practice lean manufacturing principles and also have moved further into integrated solutions, including automated reject systems, detection integration, and modular conveyor designs that minimise downtime and simplify maintenance.

“Everything we do is grounded in real-world site conditions – practical solutions that work reliably under pressure. We also focus on building systems that last – not just to meet immediate needs, but to deliver long-term value.”

Looking ahead, Fink says the company’s focus is simple – to continue delivering high-quality, reliable systems and keep building strong partnerships with its clients.

“We’ll continue investing in design, automation, and manufacturing capability, while staying grounded in practical, site-proven solutions. At the end of the day, our reputation is built on systems that perform – and that’s exactly where our focus remains,” he concludes.
