TNA Solutions’ robag Quantum vertical form fill seal (VFFS) packaging system has received a gold Good Design Award  with the company describing it as the first VFFS packaging solution to receive the award.

The recognition follows the launch of the robag Quantum at interpack 2026, where TNA showcased the platform as an evolution of its robag range, which has been used in snack packaging for more than 40 years.

The system is designed to increase output per tube, reducing the need for additional bagmakers to meet production targets. According to TNA, it can operate at speeds of up to 300 bags per minute, depending on the product, film and bag format.

The company says the system’s design also aims to simplify line operations, with features including simplified machine architecture, integrated training support and on-machine event management to support changeovers and operator response.

Bindu Panicker, chief marketing officer at TNA Solutions, congratulated the teams involved in developing the system in a LinkedIn post, describing the award as recognition of their work.

“Building on more than four decades of robag innovation, Quantum represents an exciting new chapter in that legacy,” Panicker wrote.

TNA said the award recognised the robag platform’s development over more than four decades and its continued evolution for food manufacturing.
