High Dream’s multihead weighers are entering the Australian market through a national distribution and support partnership with Select Equip.

The range includes the company’s 5.0 Generation Multihead Weigher Series and Screwfeeder Weigher, which is designed for difficult, sticky and wet products including fresh protein, seafood, confectionery, dried fruit and ready-meal ingredients.

The Screwfeeder Weigher uses powered stainless-steel screws instead of traditional dispersion plates to move product into radial hoppers. According to Select Equip, the system is designed to provide a continuous flow for products that can be difficult to handle using vibration-based feeding.

The 5.0 series uses digital load cells, drive algorithms and visual interfaces, with the company stating that the range is designed to reduce product giveaway and increase pack speeds.

High Dream equipment is constructed for washdown environments and features IP65/IP67 waterproof construction, stainless-steel product-contact parts and tool-free quick-release hoppers.

The range covers dry grains, frozen foods, fresh produce and protein, with different hopper sizes, surface treatments and custom pitch profiles available.

Select Equip managing director James White said the partnership would give Australian processors access to the equipment with local support.

“Australian operations are under immense pressure to increase yield while managing capital spend,” White said.

“With the release of their 5.0 Series and advanced screwfeeder models, we can now offer local plants a truly transformative solution backed by complete local support.”

Select Equip will provide line integration, technical support, spare parts and preventative maintenance through its national infrastructure.
