The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) will return to New Zealand as an exhibitor at Foodtech Packtech 2025, taking place from 2-4 September at the Auckland Showgrounds. The exhibition is New Zealand’s largest trade event for food manufacturing, packaging, and processing technology, offering attendees a comprehensive view of the innovations driving the sector forward.

APPMA will have a dedicated presence in the Business Growth Hub, billed as New Zealand’s premier space for industry development and innovation.

Following the New Zealand trade show's successful participation in APPEX 2024, and ongoing collaboration with the organisers of Foodtech Packtech, APPMA’s presence at the show underscores its commitment to fostering regional industry partnerships.

The show will feature leading suppliers from across Australia and New Zealand, including APPMA member companies, presenting the latest technologies in automation, sustainability, materials handling, and processing efficiency.

Exclusive Networking for Australians

To support Australian participants, APPMA will host a dedicated networking event during the exhibition, designed to connect local exhibitors and visiting professionals with key industry peers and decision-makers in New Zealand.

Attendees will have the chance to strengthen cross-border business relationships, explore collaborative opportunities, and share insights into emerging trends across food and beverage manufacturing.

Alcohol has long been part of Australia’s social and cultural fabric, but today’s consumers are taking a more intentional approach. Rather than simply drinking less, many are becoming more deliberate about the role they want each drink to play, choosing beverages that best suit the moment and the experience they want to create. ADM’s APAC Beverages marketing director, Sarah Lim, writes.

While The a2 Milk Company (a2MC) grew revenue 12.4 per cent to $1.97 billion in FY26, its reported EBITDA and net profit both went backwards due to stock issues in Q4 with its China label infant formula driving consumers to switch brands.
