Packaging educator Ralph Moyle and BioPak co-founder Richard Fine have received the Australasian Institute of Packaging's highest forms of recognition, acknowledging their long-standing contributions to the packaging profession.
Ralph Moyle was awarded AIP Life Membership, an honour bestowed only eight times in the Institute's 63-year history. The Institute recognised his decades of work educating and mentoring packaging professionals throughout Asia and Australasia, together with his leadership in sustainable packaging design, recyclability assessment, circular economy principles and professional development.
Richard Fine was elevated to Fellow of the AIP in recognition of his role pioneering compostable foodservice packaging in Australia and helping establish Compost Connect, the national initiative connecting businesses with commercial composting services. The Institute recognised his contribution to advancing commercially viable compostable packaging solutions and promoting circular economy outcomes across the foodservice sector.
The AIP's Special Awards recognise individuals who have made outstanding and sustained contributions to the packaging industry through technical excellence, innovation, education and leadership.
