Peacock Group will bring its Peacock Bros. and insignia operations together at a purpose-built 8000sqm facility in Dandenong South, Melbourne.

The move will increase the two businesses’ combined warehouse and production footprint by approximately 66 per cent. Around 150 employees will progressively relocate from their current sites in Oakleigh and Knoxfield, giving the businesses a shared Melbourne base.

Peacock Group says the shared site will allow the businesses to work more closely and give customers access to a broader range of the group’s capabilities. Peacock Group CEO Ryan McGrath said the company had sought a facility that could support its current operations and longer-term plans.

“We’ve taken the time to find a site that works for our people and our current operations, while giving us the space and flexibility to support where we want to take the business in the future,” McGrath said.

Peacock Bros. and insignia will remain established businesses within the group. McGrath said bringing their teams into one location would create more opportunities to combine their expertise across labelling, product identification, coding and marking, mobile computing and software.

A Peacock Group Solutions Centre will form part of the new facility. The purpose-built customer space will demonstrate technologies in operation and show how they can be connected across manufacturing, warehousing and distribution processes.

McGrath said customers were looking beyond individual products to understand how mobile computing, barcode scanning, RFID, printing and labelling, and data capture could work across their operations. The centre will also give Peacock Group a dedicated space to collaborate with its technology partners.

The company expects the centre to serve customers in manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, beauty, healthcare, retail, transport and logistics. AMR Hewitts PrintPackaging will remain at its Tullamarine site, with its packaging solutions showcased at Dandenong South.

The relocation will take place in stages, with Knoxfield employees moving first and the Peacock Bros. Oakleigh team following in early 2027. Peacock Group plans to officially open the facility and Solutions Centre in the first half of 2027.
