Little Green Panda has secured a strategic growth investment from Everkind, a newly formed sustainable investment vehicle backed by entrepreneurs in the packaging industry and owners of Queensland-based Shawparth Food & Packaging.

The company said the investment will support the scale-up of its compostable, plant-based packaging range. Little Green Panda supplies products including straws, cutlery and coffee cups made from agricultural by-products, with all items designed to be home compostable and plastic-free.

Shawparth, founded in 2006, distributes packaging nationally and has expanded through acquisitions including bakery specialist SQ Packaging and pizza box specialist Lida Trading, both of which were founded more than three decades ago.

Established in 2020 with a focus on replacing plastic straws, Little Green Panda has grown into a packaging brand supplying major national events such as the Australian F1 Grand Prix, PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival and the Lexus Melbourne Cup. Its customer base also includes IMAX Cinemas, Wendy’s, and beverage brands including Bobby, Bae Juice, Dash Water and Remedy Drinks. It recently launched a retail range in select Romeo’s and Drakes stores.

Little Green Panda said Everkind was chosen for its long-term, values-aligned approach. The company said Everkind operates “with the mindset of a family-led business”, providing capital, infrastructure and mentorship while allowing operational independence. Little Green Panda will continue to operate as an independent company and remain channel agnostic, with a commitment to supporting existing distributors and partners.

According to the company, the investment will strengthen its supply chain through Everkind’s logistical and procurement capabilities, improving product availability across hospitality, retail and distribution channels.

The business is also expanding internationally, securing a distribution deal with Canada’s largest coffee distributor, Eight Ounce Coffee. It said Everkind’s backing will support further distributor agreements in overseas markets.

The company outlined several product milestones, its straw range in 2020; a home compostable coffee cutlery range in 2024; tree-free coffee cups with no plastic lining in 2025; and coffee ground lids planned for early 2026.

Founder Manon Beauchamp-Tardieu said, “I started Little Green Panda with a simple belief that packaging should be designed to disappear. With Everkind behind us, we can accelerate real change on a global scale while staying true to who we are as a brand.” She added that Everkind’s support gives the business “incredible momentum”.

Little Green Panda describes itself as an Australian tech packaging company creating home compostable, tree-free and plastic-free alternatives made from agricultural by-products.
