The judging has been completed for the APPMA Awards of Excellence 2022, and out of a record field of entries across eight categories, the finalists have been selected.

APPMA Chairman Mark Dingley said, “We had a strong response to the awards, expanded to eight categories and reshaped this year around four main points: recognition, celebration, inclusivity and education. The number of submissions shows the value the industry places on this award program.”

The panel of independent judges concurred that the standard of entries this year was extremely high, reflecting an industry that has not been standing still when it comes to innovation in packaging and processing technology, despite the pandemic challenges over the past two years.

This year the machinery awards expanded to separate entries from SMEs and larger corporations. New categories this year are Community Contribution, Packaging Design Innovation, Sustainability Excellence and Emerging Leadership.
