Greiner Packaging will present packaging solutions at interpack 2026 in Düsseldorf under the theme “Driving the Circular rEVOLUTION”, with a focus on how circularity is implemented across design, production and recycling in line with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
The company says it is responding to regulatory uncertainty by offering what it describes as guidance through packaging design, stating that circularity is defined in design, implemented in production and realised through recycling. It adds that the aim is to develop packaging that is functional and economically viable as well as sustainable.
Three featured products at the stand have all been awarded a WorldStar Award, which the company says underlines their innovation.
The first is K3 r100, a self-separating packaging system. Greiner Packaging says it will present an expanded range of the solution, which is designed so the cardboard wrap detaches from the plastic cup during recycling, allowing both materials to be sorted without consumer intervention.
The second product is CUBO, a square cup designed to improve transport and storage efficiency through its geometry. The company says this results in reduced space use and lower CO2 emissions.
The third is the Click In sealing lid, which replaces a traditional snap-on lid and aluminium membrane system with a single component. Greiner Packaging says it combines product protection, resealability and recyclability in one solution, and is designed as a mono-material to support recycling processes.
Greiner Packaging will also showcase packaging solutions for the health sector, where the company says requirements around functionality, safety and material performance are particularly high. It adds that the developments demonstrate how sustainable packaging concepts can be applied in regulated applications.
The company says its approach is based on circularity being the result of coordination between design, materials, technology and recycling infrastructure, rather than a standalone concept. It adds that circular packaging is already achievable at scale and not a future target.
Interpack 2026 takes place from 7–13 May 2026 at Messezentrum Düsseldorf. Greiner Packaging will be in Hall 10, stand C42.
