Global food processing and packaging solutions company, Tetra Pak, has appointed Giancarlos Larocca as its new marketing director for the Oceania region.

Larocca, who has relocated to Melbourne from Italy, was appointed into the role earlier this month, following the internal movement of Jaymie Pagdato to sales director after six years in the role.

Prior to this move, Larocca most recently held the role of Tetra Pak’s global category manager.

Having first joined Tetra Pak in 2015 as marketing manager, Larocca has since worked in various capacities for the business across Italy and the Americas.

He brings more than 10 years of experience working alongside global and local brands in the food and beverage sector in processing, packaging solutions and innovation.

“Giancarlos is an exciting addition to the Tetra Pak Oceania team. His expertise across both B2B and B2C marketing, as well as his in-depth knowledge of Tetra Pak’s offering at a global level will be an asset for our regional business. We’re thrilled to have him on board,” said Boris Munster, managing director of Tetra Pak Oceania.

In his role, Larocca will be focused on delivering value to Tetra Pak’s regional customers and suppliers through innovation, collaboration, and open communication, while amplifying the brand’s positive impact on the environment and community.

Larocca plans to capitalise on global consumer and category trends to drive innovation and growth for both brand owners and Tetra Pak in Oceania, particularly in growing categories such as plant-based food and drinks.
