The 2025 Food Packaging Design Award recognises organisations that have designed innovative packaging materials, packaging within food packaging including fresh, frozen or other.

And the winners are...

Two High Commendations were awarded to Gippsland Dairy Crafted Range 150g by Chobani; and KFC Go Bucket Paper Lid by KFC Australia and Detpak.

The Bronze award went to Opal's paper-based food and fresh produce punnet; while the Silver award went to Australian Organic Food Co. Vanilla Custard Mono Material Retort Pouch by Flavour Makers and Cheer Pack Asia Pacific.

And, topping the category with the Gold award, was Macro Health Food Box-Bottom Paper Bags by Woolworths Food Co.

Winners of the 2025 round of the annual Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards were announced at a gala night celebration for packaging professionals from across Australia and New Zealand.

Endeavour Group reported a 3.1 per cent fall in retail sales in 3Q25 compared to the same time last year (pcp) to $2.33 billion, citing subdued trade and supply chain disruptions from the December strikes at Woolworths warehouses still having an impact.
