Amcor has developed a bespoke two-colour flip-top closure for Spanish sauce brand Choví, incorporating a silicone valve to control sauce flow.

The bi-injection closure is made entirely from polypropylene and features a curved shape. It is being used across Choví’s range of sauces for salads, barbecues and snacks, including La Brava, Allioli, Cheddar, Kebab White, Ajonesa, Barbacoa, Ketchup, César, Yogur and Miel y Mostaza.

The closure was developed at Amcor’s Spanish manufacturing facility, with Choví selecting the company for its experience in closures and local manufacturing capabilities.

“It is a fresh and exciting look for Choví, delivering shelf differentiation against rival sauce brands,” said Amcor sales director Mirko Todeschi. “Ease of use was key to the design, allowing the user to pour the sauce in a controlled way.”

David Moya Aparicio, Gerente de Logística y Compras de Grupo Choví, said the closure needed to work smoothly as the first part of the pack consumers interact with after purchase.

“Amcor has delivered and with its local knowledge and manufacturing capabilities, we are proud to say that this innovation is made in Spain for a Spanish brand,” he said.
